The main building of the medical facility, situated south-west of Calgary, features two basement and eight upper levels each with around 20,000 m² of slab area.
Deflections during concreting are recorded by sensors and automatically compensated with the help of hydraulic cylinders.
Specially-designed trolleys allow easy and quick moving operations in both longitudinal and lateral directions by hand. Prior to this, the load on the tables was hydraulically released, and the tables were then gently lowered.
The landing platform, consisting of PERI system components, was used to move the slab tables to the next level.
The up to 30 cm thick storey slabs were supported on 762 square-shaped reinforced concrete columns. Using 57 slab tables, an area totalling 2,800 m² could be realized every week.
